Is Hall County the reddest county in North Georgia? Perhaps, although Forsyth & Cobb could probably put up a strong argument.
So, imagine my surprise when I find out that the Obama campaign is conducting voter registration here. While it was widely reported that B.O. thinks that Georgia is in play for November, I assumed he’d concentrate in Athens or Atlanta where the Democratic Party has a stronger base.
Not so. Three events are scheduled for this week alone. Phone-banking, an organizational meeting, and a registration drive at the Wal-Mart on Shallowford all within the next week.
They’ve also been working Foryth County. I’m glad they are here, but I’m surprised that it’s more than just a token attempt.
