In Hall County, the Clerk of Court “Scandal”, which really wasn’t a scandal- but hey, whatever sells papers, has led to a three way race for Clerk of Court.
A brief shakedown of the candidates -
Charles Baker- 54 years old, 7 years of experience in the Clerks office as Chief Deputy Chief of Court. Retired last year when it was obvious that the head guy wasn’t going anywhere. OOPSIE. Now running as the experience candidate.
Jennifer Gibbs – 38 years old, Certified Public Accountant with no political experience. No experience in the Clerk’s office either. She is the change candidate.
Bob Vass – 74 years old, masters degree in Economics, former two term sheriff of the county. 40 years (!) experience in criminal justice. He is the disgruntled Democrat/Republican/we’re-really-not-sure candidate.
So, with two people with a boatload of experience in public service, and one person with NO experience in government… why is the newcomer being pushed as the chosen one?
